Campbell Strategies’ efforts lead to expanded support for Canada’s thalidomide survivors

Our firm regularly does pro bono work on important public policy issues.

We are proud of our work with the Thalidomide Survivors Taskforce that was highlighted in this Globe and Mail article.

In 2015 the Conservative Government, following a unanimous vote in the House of Commons, provided over $180M to support Canada’s thalidomide survivors.

Yesterday, the federal Liberal government agreed to expand this support.

The Globe and Mail has played an important role highlighting the injustices faced by Canada’s thalidomide survivors.

Thalidomide was a drug that was used to treat morning sickness in pregnant women in the 1960s. It had catastrophic impacts on their children.
